Choose Floatout when your advantage is a community and the existing product fits. Choose a custom build when implementation control is essential and you can support it. If your goal is to create arbitrary prediction questions, Floatout’s existing-market frontend does not meet that requirement.

Floatout is free to publish. Before activation, its builder fees go to Floatout and are not a claimable balance. Compare the current activation prices and revenue shares, working demo, and funds and security model before choosing.

Use an affiliate link when a destination is enough

A link to an existing venue has the smallest setup burden. You rely on its onboarding, market coverage, eligibility rules, brand, and referral terms. This can be the right starting point when your members mainly want a trusted place to trade.

You have less control over the experience after the click. Check whether existing accounts qualify and what activity earns rewards before forecasting revenue.

Build an application when control justifies the work

A custom frontend on Hyperliquid can use its existing markets while giving you implementation control. That does not require inventing a matching engine, but it still requires secure wallet integration, market data, mobile UX, testing, support, and ongoing maintenance.

A Polymarket builder application is another route for its ecosystem. Its builder-fee documentation describes earning through integrated applications. Interface revenue is not exclusive to Floatout. Compare actual market coverage and the development work required.

Use a ready-made platform when your advantage is distribution

Floatout combines a branded Hyperliquid interface, perps and outcomes, supported market enrichment, community features, and operator tools. You focus on the experience and distribution instead of implementing the trading UI from scratch.

The tradeoff is working within the available catalog, supported customization, plan entitlements, and platform revenue share. Floatout’s current flow does not create arbitrary new questions. Read platform vs market creation before deciding.

Evaluate vendors with the same checklist

• Can you open a working product and trade the markets your audience needs?
• Does the vendor provide an interface, new-market deployment, or both?
• Who holds trading balances, and what must users approve?
• Where does liquidity come from for each market?
• Which fees, revenue shares, activation charges, and operating costs apply?
• What works on mobile, and what happens when a dependency is unavailable?
• What data, domain, and operating control do you retain?

Distinguish live availability from a test environment or roadmap. Request evidence for security claims and fee examples. A ready-made platform does not provide a regulatory licence.

Try the smallest realistic version

Use the same event and invitation for each option you evaluate. Observe how members understand the rules, connect, and find help. Compare support effort as well as visual polish.
